ENG-W vs IRE-W Betting Tips

Maia Bouchier to score over 30.5 runs

Maia Bouchier has an excellent record in WODIs, scoring 645 runs at an average of 43. She has scored at least 31 runs in six of her last 11 outings, including two half-centuries and two centuries. Given her current form and consistency, we are backing her to play another good knock in this match.

Highest individual score over 90.5 runs

The pitch at Derby tends to become favourable for batting once the batters settle in. Five of the last seven matches played here have featured at least one individual score of 91 or more runs, and we expect that trend to continue in this match.

ENG-W vs IRE-W Team Previews

England Women

England produced an excellent performance with the bat in the first ODI, chasing down a record-breaking total to claim an early advantage in the series. The team travels to Derby with plenty of confidence, although there are a few areas it will look to improve.

England's bowlers were relatively ordinary in the opening game, allowing the visitors to post an impressive 282 runs. While England are without a couple of frontline bowlers, including Sophie Ecclestone and Lauren Bell, there is still plenty of quality in the attack. Skipper Charlie Dean was the team's best bowler and will lead the spin department alongside Mady Villiers.

England will, however, expect more from Danielle Gibson, Tilly Corteen-Coleman and Lauren Filer, all of whom went wicketless in the first ODI. Issy Wong was impressive with the new ball and will look to make another early breakthrough.

England's batting was the highlight of the opening match, and they will be hoping for a similar performance here. Maia Bouchier scored a brilliant century, while her 143-run opening partnership with Sophia Dunkley laid the foundation for a comfortable chase. The middle order is strong as well, with Alice Capsey and Freya Kemp providing plenty of batting quality, while all-rounder Jodi Grewcock adds further depth.

Ireland Women

Ireland will be disappointed after losing the first ODI, but there were plenty of positives for the team to take from the match. They will now look to build on those performances and level the series on Thursday.

Ireland's batting was impressive, with three batters scoring half-centuries against England's strong bowling unit. Skipper Gaby Lewis led from the front and was the team's leading run-scorer. She will look to provide another strong start alongside Alice Tector at the top of the order. The middle order has an experienced core featuring Amy Hunter, Rebecca Stokell and Orla Prendergast. Stokell and Hunter both scored half-centuries in the opening ODI and will once again be expected to make valuable contributions.

Ireland also have a couple of useful all-rounders in Leah Paul and Louise Little, who provide additional batting depth. The bowling unit is well balanced, but the visitors will need to improve their line and length. Cara Murray and Kia McCartney will lead the spin department, while Jane Maguire and Arlene Kelly are expected to take the new ball.

ENG-W vs IRE-W Toss Prediction

Eleven of the last 12 Women's ODIs played at this venue have been won by the team batting first. The captain winning the toss is therefore likely to opt to bat first.

Pitch Report and Weather Conditions

The pitch at Derby is generally balanced and should provide a competitive contest between bat and ball. The average first-innings score in the last 10 WODIs played here is around 220, although the team batting first will be looking to post at least 270-280 runs to give its bowlers a strong chance of defending the total.

The surface tends to slow down as the match progresses, which can make it increasingly difficult for batters to play big shots. The weather is expected to remain overcast, with temperatures around 21 degrees.

ENG-W vs IRE-W : Who Will Win?

We are backing England to win this match. They have an excellent record against Ireland and looked considerably stronger in the opening ODI. With greater depth in both batting and bowling, England should have enough quality to secure another victory.

Bet on England Women to win.
