Today Match Prediction Women's Asia Cup

The opening match of the Women’s Asia Cup sees Thailand take on Hong Kong, China in a contest between two sides looking to make an impact on a much bigger stage.

Thailand have considerably more experience at the highest level of women’s cricket and will begin as favourites. Their squad contains players who have competed regularly in major ICC events, while Nattakan Chantam remains one of their most important batting threats.

Hong Kong, China enter the tournament with a group containing working professionals, students and full-time cricketers. The competition represents a major opportunity for the side to gain exposure against some of Asia's strongest teams.

The opening fixture is therefore important for both teams. Thailand will want a strong start before facing Pakistan and India later in the group stage, while Hong Kong will be looking to produce a competitive performance and build confidence for their matches against the stronger sides.
