The Delhi Capitals have struggled over the past couple of weeks, havimg lost four of their last five games. As a result, the team has slipped down to eighth place on the points table.
Barring KL Rahul, the batting from the Delhi Capitals has been rather ordinary. Rahul is the leading run-scorer of the tournament but will need better support from his opening partner, Pathum Nissanka.
In the middle order, while Sameer Rizvi and Tristan Stubbs have played a couple of handy knocks, the likes of David Miller, Nitish Rana, and Ashutosh Sharma have been inconsistent. Neither DC has the players scoring consistently at high strike rates, nor does it have the depth to be able to take the risks needed.
Its team selection has also been very poor.
The Delhi Capitals’ bowling has been pretty average. The pace department consists of Lungi Ngidi, T Natarajan, and Mitchell Starc. However, they have been expensive at times.
