Chennai Super Kings To Win, 2.00

Both CSK and MI have been in poor form this season. With little separating them, it makes sense to chase the odds.

CSK has home advantage and has traditionally done well against MI at the Chepauk. MI has lost four of its previous five matches here.

Jasprit Bumrah is having his worst-ever IPL and that has really made things very difficult for the MI squad. The absence of Rohit Sharma has also forced them to change their playing eleven.

CSK vs MI Betting Tips

Ruturaj Gaikwad to score Under 24.5 runs

Ruturaj Gaikwad hasn’t been in the best of form and has scored 25 or more runs only twice in his 8 innings this season. We think continuing to profit off of his poor form is good strategy!

Anshul Kamboj to be the best bowler for Chennai Super Kings

Anshul Kamboj has bowled well this year and is the team’s leading wicket-taker. He has been CSK’s top bowler in four of the eight matches played so far. As the pitch is likely to aid the seamers, we reckon he will bowl a good spell in this match.

CSK vs MI Team Previews

Chennai Super Kings

The Chennai Super Kings have been inconsistent this season, winning only three of the eight games played so far. They are currently sixth on the points table and will be desperate to win here.

Barring Sanju Samson, the batting from the Chennai Super Kings has been pretty average. Samson is the team’s leading run-scorer with 304 runs scored at an average of over 50 runs per innings. Ruturaj Gaikwad did score a half-century in the previous match, but other than that, he has struggled against the new ball.

The middle order looks pretty weak in the absence of Ayush Mhatre, and CSK needs Shivam Dube, Sarfaraz Khan, and Dewald Brevis to step up.

Coming to the bowling, Anshul Kamboj continues to be the leading wicket-taker for CSK with 14 wickets. He has received good support from Jamie Overton at the other end. Together, they will look to pick up wickets with the new ball. The spin department will be led by Noor Ahmad and Akeal Hosein.

Chennai Super Kings Expected Playing 11

Sanju Samson (WK), Ruturaj Gaikwad (C), Sarfaraz Khan, Shivam Dube, Dewald Brevis, Kartik Sharma, Jamie Overton, Akeal Hosein, Noor Ahmad, Anshul Kamboj, Gurjapneet Singh

Impact Player: Urvil Patel / Mukesh Choudhary

Mumbai Indians

With just two wins in eight games, the Mumbai Indians are ninth on the points table. Another loss here will place them in a precarious situation as they trail the top four teams by eight points.

The opening pair of Ryan Rickelton and Will Jacks did an excellent job in the previous match as they put up a 93-run stand in just seven overs. Rickelton went on to score an unbeaten century, helping the team post a competitive score. However, middle-order woes continue to haunt the Mumbai Indians.

Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Varma, Naman Dhir, and Hardik Pandya are all struggling to convert their starts into big knocks, which has hurt the team’s prospects.

Mumbai’s bowling has been abysmal as well. Jasprit Bumrah, who has been the team’s best bowler for the past few seasons, has managed to pick up only two wickets in eight games while giving away close to 9 runs per over. Trent Boult and Hardik Pandya have been very expensive.

The only bowler who has had some sort of impact is Allah Ghazanfar, who has 10 wickets against his name. Mumbai needs to turn things around before it gets impossible for it to make a comeback.

Mumbai Indians Expected Playing 11

Ryan Rickelton (WK), Will Jacks, Naman Dhir, Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Varma, Hardik Pandya (C), Robin Minz, Trent Boult, Jasprit Bumrah, Allah Ghazanfar, Ashwani Kumar

Impact Player: Shradul Thakur / Krish Bhagat

CSK vs MI Toss Prediction

In each of the last 10 matches played here, the team winning the toss opted to bowl first, and we expect that trend to continue.

Pitch Report and Weather Conditions

The last couple of matches played here weren’t as high-scoring as some of the other games we have seen in this tournament. We are expecting a good contest between the bat and the ball. The weather has been hot, and we expect a dry surface. The ball does stop a bit after pitching. There are a few cracks on the pitch as well. The seamers will get some help due to the windy conditions.

A score of around 180-190 is a par score. The weather is expected to remain warm and humid, with some dew during the second half of the match.

CSK vs MI : Who Will Win?

We are backing the Chennai Super Kings to win this match. While not in the best form, they are playing with a home advantage, giving the team a psychological edge. Mumbai has struggled, particularly with the ball, and will be low on confidence. The pitch at the Chepauk could tilt things the home team's way.

Bet on Chennai Super Kings to win.
