Pakistan enters this series as the underdogs, especially given the fact that they had lost 7 consecutive T20Is against Australia before the start of the tournament. However, the hosts have been clinical in their performance, winning both matches, and now have the chance of their second-ever clean sweep against Australia.

While Sahibzada Farhan has struggled against the new ball in both matches, Saim Ayub has done a decent job so far.  However, the team will need him to stay longer and convert his starts into big knocks. Salman Agha and Usman Khan were in sublime form on Saturday as they scored individual half-centuries.

Their partnership during the middle overs ensured that the hosts were able to post a match-winning score. In addition, the other batsmen, including Shadab Khan and Babar Azam, have also chipped in, and the middle order looks pretty sorted.

The slower bowlers have enjoyed plenty of success, and Pakistan is likely to persist with a spin-heavy line-up that is likely to feature Usman Tariq and Abrar Ahmed. Naseem Shah is likely to lead the attack with the new ball.

Australia is traveling with a B-team to Pakistan, but that is no excuse for the team’s poor run in this series. They have struggled with the bat and the ball, and with the T20 World Cup fast approaching, they will hope to win here to gain some confidence.

Mitchell Marsh and Travis Head are likely to continue with their role as the opening pair in this match. The duo wasn’t able to give the visitors a good start in the previous match, and that has a cascading effect on the middle order as well.

Matt Renshaw, Cooper Connolly, and Josh Inglis were found struggling in the dry and turning wickets, and weren’t able to contribute much. That said, Australia does have plenty of depth in its batting thanks to the presence of Matthew Short, Cameron Green, and all-rounder Sean Abbott.

The latter’s performance with the ball hasn’t been the best, as he managed to pick up only 1 wicket on Saturday and was pretty expensive as well. He will be joined by Xavier Bartlett with the new ball, while Adam Zampa and Matthew Kuhnemann are likely to feature in the spin department.
